John de Carle is the base for Lynn White VisionCare and the KeraSoft Clinic Although we fit all kinds of contact lenses, the emphasis is on fitting soft lenses for the Irregular Cornea.Traditionally, rigid lenses have been used for conditions such as keratoconus, PMD (Pellucid Marginal Degeneration), post graft and post refractive surgery. However, not all people can wear these for long periods of time and quality of life can be severely restricted if you cannot wear lenses from "dawn ’til dusk". KeraSoft IC, the new 74% water content Silicone Hydrogel lens for Irregular Corneas, offers comparable vision to RGPs and much longer wearing times. The KeraSoft Clinic is a centre for keratoconic lens design and a teaching facility for practitioners from the UK and abroad. The new KeraSoft IC lenses can be designed to fit the individual cornea – Lynn White presented a poster at BCLA in May 2009 showing how these lenses can be customised using Sector Management Control.

KeraSoft lenses – are they for me? KeraSoft lenses are available in several forms and will fit a great many cases of keratoconus and irregular cornea.
